At Parker and Marriner we regularly help our clients with their Kiwisaver Applications. If you have been a member of Kiwisaver for 3 years, you may be eligible to withdraw your Kiwisaver funds to use towards the purchase of your first home. From 1st April 2015 , you will be able to withdraw your own contributions, your employers contributions and even your member tax credits! We can help with putting together the necessary information and working with your Kiwisaver provider to get the most out of your Kiwisaver.
Even if you have owned property before, you may still be eligible to withdraw your Kiwisaver funds to purchase another property! There are some additional criteria to satisfy as previous home owner but with our help, you will quickly find out if you are eligible to withdraw your Kiwisaver funds.
The First Home Deposit Subsidy has been replaced by the HomeStart Grant from the 1st of April 2015.
What this scheme offers is for those enrolled in Kiwisaver, is a $1,000 contribution for every year they have been in Kiwisaver, up to a maximum of $5,000. If you are buying or building a new house, the HomeStart Grant doubles! And if you are buying with another person who is also eligible, you can combine your grants up to a maximum of $10,000 for an existing house and $20,000 for a new house! The HomeStart Grant can be a little trickier that than a Kiwisaver withdrawal and there are certain rules that apply should you be successful with your application. We can help explain these details to you and work with you to complete your applications quickly and easily.
